The Policies page

The following is a summary of the Polaris UI Policies page which allows you to create issue and test scheduling policies for projects.

Table 1. Issue Policies tab


Create and manage issue policies that:
  • Instruct Polaris to perform actions when issues with specific properties are detected in tests.
  • Apply fix-by dates to issues found in tests.
Note: See Issue policies for more information.
+ Add Policy Create a new issue policy.
Search Issue Policies Search for an issue policy by name or description.
Table fields
  • Policy Name: Select a policy's name to view its details. (Default) appears next to your organization's default issue policy.
  • Using This Policy: The quantity of projects that use each issue policy.
  • Options icon: Reveal additional policy actions, including View, Edit, Duplicate, Set as default, and Delete.
Table 2. Pull/Merge Request Policies tab


Create and manage pull/merge request policies that:
  • Instruct Polaris to add a new pull request comment for new issues if the branch being evaluated is determined to be created via a new or updated pull request.

+ Add Policy Create a new pull/merge request policy.
Search Pull/Merge Policies Search for a new pull/merge request policy by name or description.

  • Policy Name: Select a policy's name to view it's details. (Default) appears next to your organization's default pull/merge request policy.
  • Using This Policy: The quantity of projects that use each pull/merge request policy.

Create and manage component policies that instruct Polaris to perform actions when components with specific properties are detected in SCA tests.

+ Add Policy Create a new component policy.
Search by Name Search for a component policy by name or description.

  • Policy Name: Select a policy's name to view its details. (Default) appears next to your organization's default component policy.
  • Using This Policy: The quantity of projects that use each component policy.

Create and manage test scheduling policies that instruct Polaris to scan branches connected to repositories automatically, on a daily or weekly basis.
